Το Εργαστήριο Δασικής Διαχειριστικής και Τηλεπισκόπησης (ΕΔΔΤ) ανήκει στη Σχολή Δασολογίας και Φυσικού Περιβάλλοντος, που είναι ένα από τα 44 τμήματα του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης (ΑΠΘ). Το εργαστήριο εξυπηρετεί τις εκπαιδευτικές ανάγκες της σχολής στα πεδία της δασικής διαχειριστικής και της τηλεπισκόπησης, τόσο σε προπτυχιακό όσο και σε μεταπτυχιακό επίπεδο. Παράλληλα, διεξάγει έρευνα στους τομείς της παρακολούθησης περιβαλλοντικών πόρων και της διαχείρισης των φυσικών οικοσυστημάτων, αξιοποιώντας τεχνολογίες Παρατήρησης της Γης, Μηχανικής Μάθησης και Γεωγραφικών Συστημάτων Πληροφοριών. Το ΕΔΔΤ έχει μακροχρόνια εμπειρία στην παροχή υπηρεσιών βασισμένων σε δεδομένα Παρατήρησης της Γης σε εθνικό επίπεδο και σε διάφορους ενδιαφερόμενους φορείς, συμπεριλαμβανομένης της Κεντρικής Δασικής Υπηρεσίας και της Γενικής Γραμματείας Πολιτικής Προστασίας.
