Member Short Description
WeMET P.C. has been established on June 2014. It is the continuation of the Atmospheric Modeling & Weather Forecasting Group (AM&WFG) of National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. It is specializing in atmospheric and sea state model development and applications related to energy, transportation, security, operations and engineering in general. It designs, implements and operates Numerical Weather Prediction systems worldwide. Of particular interest is the land surface parameterization such as the dust uptake-transport-deposition cycle (the first developed dust model worldwide). Regional climate, extreme weather event analysis, design and operation of flood warning systems is an activity related to the industry and governments worldwide. Arid and semi-arid climate analysis is of special treatment related to extreme events. Renewable energy applications are focusing on resource assessment and forecasting.
